I'm Kristiāna, a Graphic Design student, artistic statement denier, grain filter enthusiast, lover-not-a-fighter, and happy to be here.
Often leaning towards working with multiple types of media (with a tendency to drift to the digital world), I like traversing my subjects by means of abstractions and absurdism while keeping a clear vision of initial contexts.

UNTITLED DEEP FAKE VIDEO
AS A TREE DECAYS
SOCIETY OF THE LEOPARD PRINT
SALT ESSAY
MODULAR ALPHABET 1
The story of the leopard skin/print historically has had its highs and lows. First worn by kings and queens, a symbol of power and wealth; in the 50s on famous Hollywood movie stars, then introduced to the mainstream as something that shouldn't be worn by those who are “fair and sweet”; in the late 60s condemned by the anti-fur movement, reintroduced as a print in the 70s, and finally worn and furnished with caution up until this day.
This video is a point in the cycle it’s taking - the meaning of the leopard print is reformed and questioned with all-too-familiar things and situations.
